Footprint Features - Brand Ident.

Creative Direction / Brand Identity / Motion.

Footprint Features is a film production company producing character-driven feature films. I worked directly with the team to define and create a new on-screen brand ident to sit in front of their films.

The challenge was to develop something that felt cinematic, distinctive, and flexible, able to work across a range of genres while establishing a consistent identity for the studio. I led the creative direction, shaping the concept, visual language, and motion to ensure the ident felt considered and aligned with the tone of their work.

The result is a refined brand moment that introduces each film, helping establish a recognisable studio presence across its releases.

Creative Development.

The starting point was to define a visual direction that felt cinematic and timeless, while remaining flexible across different types of films.

Early exploration focused on tone, pacing, and atmosphere—drawing from a range of references to establish a direction that felt distinctive but restrained. From there, I developed a series of concepts before refining the final ident into a simple, considered brand moment.

Hero Ident.

The final ident establishes a cinematic brand moment for Footprint Features, introducing each film with a sense of atmosphere and restraint.

A subtle light source, referencing both the sun and traditional projection, anchors the sequence, while refined typography brings a contemporary edge to the mark.

“Harry was simply outstanding. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

No matter the job, I have full confidence you’ll get what you need and more.”
